Guilford G. Hartley and family scrapbooks, 1882-1960.

Largely clippings, articles, printed materials, and memorabilia documenting Hartley's career as a Duluth (Minn.) businessman, local official, and politician. There is information on his service (1885-1886) as register of the Duluth land office; city and county Republican politics; construction (1890s) by the Duluth and Superior Bridge Company of the bridge between Duluth and Superior, Wisconsin; construction and operation of street railways in Duluth (1898-ca. 1904); and Duluth streetcar strikes of 1893, 1899, and 1912.
